SAAC Collects Toys for Local Children's Hospital
UNION, N.J. (12/21/10) – The Kean University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee recently conducted a toy drive and donated more than 150 items to the Children’s Hospital of New Jersey at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center.
The 13 Cougar athletic programs and athletic training program collected a wide variety of gifts for children of all ages, including board games, dolls, stuffed animals, arts and crafts, books and DVDs.
It was the second straight year the Cougars collected toys during the holiday season, with last year’s collection benefiting the Making Headway Foundation and the Stephen D. Hassenfeld Children's Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders and the Department of Pediatrics at NYU Langone Medical Center.
