Peter DiStefano has been with the Kean University athletic training staff since 2013 after earning his master of science in exercise science from William Paterson University in 2012. A true NJAC veteran, DiStefano earned his bachelor of science in athletic training from Montclair State University in 2009 and was a member of the Red Hawks’ club ice hockey program.
From 2010-2013, DiStefano worked at William Paterson University, first as a graduate assistant certified athletic trainer and later as a per diem athletic trainer. He worked closely with 11 of the Pioneers’ programs and was an approved clinical instructor for the WPU Athletic Training Education Program, a system responsible for supervising and improving the clinical skills of up to six students per semester.
In addition to his duties at William Paterson, DiStefano also worked at Indian Hills High School, Champion Athletes Ice Hockey in Kenilworth, J. Robinson Intensive Wrestling Camps and the CAN/AM Youth Ice Hockey Camps.
DiStefano owns an Athletic Training Certification, a New Jersey State Athletic training License and is a member of both the National Athletic Trainers Association and the Athletic Trainers Society of New Jersey.
