Carole Hynes Field House

The Carole Hynes Field House was completed in December 2010 is the last piece of the master plan for the athletic facilities complex on the main campus. Centered by Alumni Stadium with a grand viewing balcony overlooking the stadium, the field house is a multi-use facility that houses not only a 10,000 square foot strength and performance weight room on the second floor, but also serves as the concession stand and restroom facilities for Alumni Stadium, Tennis Courts, Jin Hynes Baseball Stadium and Cougar Softball Field.

The Carole Hynes Field House weight room primarily features free weights including six hammer strength platforms that allow our student-athletes the ability to reach their optimum fitness goals. In addition to the free weights the Carole Hynes Field House also has two treadmills, two elliptical cross-trainers and four exercise bikes.

Prior to the 2011 Women’s World Cup, team USA was so impressed with our facility that they made it their home base for fitness training before the team left for Germany. (For video of the team training at Kean please click here http://www.keanathletics.com/sports/wsoc/2010-11/releases/nationalteam )
