Zeffiro Tabbed NJAC Pitcher of the Week 

PITMAN, N.J. (5/21/07) - Senior right-hander Dan Zeffiro (Old Bridge, N.J.) earned New Jersey Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week honors after improving to 8-1 following his career 20^th complete game last week in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional tournament.

He earns the honor after playing a key role in the Cougars' NCAA Boyertown Regional Championship and advancement to the NCAA Division III National Championship series in Grand Chute, WI for the first time in school history.

In a 7-0 blanking of Frostburg State, he scattered five hits in nine innings of work for his first shutout of the season and his conference best sixth complete game. He also struck out seven while walking none to improve to 8-1 overall on the year.

A two-time NJAC all-conference selection, Zeffiro currently ranks second in the NJAC in innings pitched (80.0).
