Bartlinski Selected NJAC/NJCBA Pitcher of the Week

Pitman, N.J. (4/28/08) - Sophomore Joe Bartlinski (South Amboy, N.J.) was selected as the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Pitcher of the Week as well as the New Jersey Collegiate Baseball Association (NJCBA) as announced on Monday.

Bartlinski earns NJAC Pitcher of the Week honors for the second time this season after playing a key role in the Cougars capturing of their second consecutive NJAC regular season championship.

In a 3-0 win over TCNJ, he allowed just five singles and no runs, while striking out five and walking only two for a complete-game shutout. The victory marked his first shutout of the year, and his third complete game of the season.

Bartlinski currently is tied for second in the NJAC in wins (6), while ranking third in the league in strikeouts (67).
