PITMAN, N.J. (5/19/09) - Senior right-hander Colin Feneis (Spotswood, N.J.) and freshman left-hander Ryan Zamorsky (Branchburg, N.J.) were honered as the final New Jersey Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week and Rookie of the Week, respectively, after both earned a spot on the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Region All-Tournament team and helping lead the Cougars to their third straight NCAA World Series appearance.
In the team's 10-0 opening round victory over Penn State-Berks, Feneis tossed a complete game, one-hit shutout, while recording a career-high 15 strikeouts for his fifth victory of the season.
Feneis, now 5-1 with a 3.06 earned run average on the year, currently ranks first in the conference in opposing batting average, holding opponents to just a .192 batting average.
An all-tournament team selection, Zamorsky surrendered just three unearned runs and three walks in 8.1 innings of work with a 6-3 victory over Keystone College to propel the Cougars to the Regional Championship game.
A three-time NJAC Rookie of the Week selection, Zamorsky is currently tied for the conference lead in victories with seven on the season.
