Cape Cod, Mass. (5/26/09) - The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced its yearly awards and junior Mike Moceri (Yardville, N.J.) as well as rookie Dylan Laguna (Edison, N.J.) were tabbed as Player and Rookie of the Year respectively.
In addition, junior Joe Bartlinski (South Amboy,
N.J.) was selected as a first-team all-star.
Moceri concluded his junior campaign with a .433 batting average to go along with three new KU single-season records with 88 hits, 22 doubles and 59 RBI. He also added 54 runs scored and seven triples.
Laguna wrapped up his rookie season with a .381 batting average and 18 stolen bases. He added 69 hits and 38 RBI.
Bartlinski finished his junior season with a 7-4 record in 12 starts. He added a team-high 61 strikeouts while tossing a team-high 85 innings pitched.
