Zamorsky Tabbed ABCA First-Team All-American
Appleton, Wis. (5/24/12) – Senior Ryan Zamorsky was selected by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) as a first-team All-American as announced at the NCAA Division III Tournament Banquet held Thursday evening.
Zamorsky becomes the fifth Cougar in program history earning first-team honors, joining Herman Diaz (1981), Frank Beckhorn (1998), Joe Augustine (2007) and Mike Moceri (2009).
Zamorsky was named the Most Outstanding Player of the NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Tournament last week, in addition to his Pitcher of the Year accolades by the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) and New Jersey Collegiate Baseball Association (NJCBA). In two post-season starts this year, he is 2-0 while allowing just one earned run in 17 innings pitched. Overall, Zamorsky tied the single-season standard with 10 overall wins (10-1) while sporting a 0.92 ERA. He also recently earned D3baseball.com second-team all-american honors.
