Francisco Romero enters his fourth season as an assistant coach for the Cougars. Romero is primarily in charge of the infielders in addition to his first-base coaching duties.
Romero is no stranger to Kean baseball as a four year player for Neil Ioviero from 2002-2005. In that time, Romero collected a .325 career batting average to go along with 102 runs scored and 79 RBI. He also tallied 216 assists from the left-side of the infield. A three-time All-NJAC selection, Romero leaves his name in the KU record book as he is tied for most at-bats in a game with seven. Romero is currently employed full-time as a New Jersey State parole officer.
Romero earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Kean University in 2006.
