Roque Tabbed November Male Athlete of the Month

Junior quarterback A.J. Roque (Matawan, N.J.) of the football team has been tabbed the Male Athlete of the Month for November. Roque played in and started all three games this month, including the ECAC Southeast Bowl Championship.

In three games, Roque completed 36 of 66 passes (54.5%) for 643 yards, for an average of 214.3 per game. He also recorded eight touchdowns, including two rushing.

For his efforts this season, the New Jersey Athletic Conference just recently named Roque the Offensive Player of the Year. Roque led the NJAC in passing average per game, total offense and pass efficiency.

Currently, Roque ranks nationally in several categories including passer efficiency rating (36th-137.7), total offense per game (46th - 216.7), total passing yards (26th - 2,320) and passing yards per game (42nd - 210.9).
