Football Earns Bid to ECAC Championships
CAPE COD, Mass. (11/13/06) - After finishing the regular season
with the program's most successful year in over a decade, the Kean
University Football team is one of 12 teams selected to play in an
Eastern College Athletic Conference Bowl Championship Game this
weekend.
The Cougars host King's College on Saturday, November 18, in the
ECAC Southeast Bowl Championship. Making the school's third
appearance in the ECAC title game, the Cougars face the Middle
Atlantic Conference school for the first time ever in the 37-year
history of the program.
Kean finished the regular season at 6-4 overall, the most wins
since 1994 when the Cougars were 7-2-1 overall and captured the
ECAC South Championship. The Monarchs also finished the regular
season at 6-4 overall, and are one of three MAC schools selected to
play in ECAC Bowl Games.
