FootballGridiron Coaches Volunteer at Clinic to Support Pediatric CancerEASTON, Pa. - A pair of Kean University assistant football coaches recently volunteered in the fourth annual Lauren's First and Goal Football Camp on Sunday, June 3, at Lafayette College.
Over 1,400 players and 230 volunteer college coaches helped raise $125,000 in 2007 and the clinic has raised more than $300,000 in its first four years. Phil Simms, MVP of Super Bowl XXI and former New York Football Giant, was also a guest speaker at the camp. The camp and organization are named in honor of Lauren Loose, a nine year old brain tumor survivor, who has been living with a diagnosis of multiple brain tumors, Neurofibromatosis and Evan's Syndrome since she was nine months old. Lauren is the daughter of Lafayette defensive coordinator John Loose. For more information on the foundation, please visit http://www.laurensfirstandgoal.org/. Langton and D'Avanzo are both entering their second year on the Cougar staff. Langton serves as the offensive line coach, while D'Avanzo coaches the defensive backs.
