FootballGould, Dempsey Named to NFF Hampshire Honor Society
The 2009 class is comprised 564 players, representing 266 schools from all divisions of college football play and who maintained a 3.2 grade point average as a starter or significant reserve and completed one's eligibility. Gould (pictured right) and Dempsey anchored an offensive line
that only allowed five sacks in 11 games to lead all of Division
III last season, as the Cougars finished 7-4 overall and earned a
berth to the Eastern College Athletic Conference South A captain of the 2008 squad, Gould became the first Cougar in program history to earn D3football.com All-American honors, as he was selected to the honorable mention squad, as he did not allow a sack all season from his tackle position. A three-year starter, Gould also earned New Jersey Athletic Conference and Eastern College Athletic Conference Southeast Region first-team honors. Dempsey (pictured left) wrapped up his four-year career with the Cougars, starting all but one game at as a senior.
