Neptune, N.J. (11/21/12) – Junior football student-athlete Frank Martuscelli Jr. recently sat down to talk about the experiences he endured while working off the field during Superstorm Sandy.
Martuscelli is no stranger to hard work, as he started at center for the Cougars during the course of his junior season. But the criminal justice major also puts in plenty of hours helping others as a volunteer firefighter with the Neptune Fire Department. A full-time member of the Shark River Hills Company for three years now, Martuscelli's hard work was tested this October while dealing with Superstorm Sandy. A third generation firefighter, Martuscelli battled fires in chest deep water in the midst of the storm to help his community. In the aftermath of the storm, he spent countless hours putting the family training to use, to help those in need.
As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday this week, it is nice to thank people like Frank who are still giving back to those still in need.
