Egerer, Gibbs Tabbed With All-Region Honors

GLEN ALLEN, V.a. (11/13/06) - Senior Vicki Egerer (Washington, Township, N.J.) and freshman Brittany Gibbs (West Deptford, N.J.) earned National Field Hockey Coaches Association All-Region honors, as selected by the NFHCA and announced on Monday afternoon.

Egerer, who earned First Team-South Atlantic Region honors, closed out her career in a high note as she now holds the record for goals (40) and points (96) here at Kean. This season, Egerer led the Cougars in assists and was ranked in the top ten in several conference categories.

Gibbs, who was selected to the Second Team-South Atlantic Region, led the Cougars in goals (12) and points (28) in her rookie campaign. Gibbs, who had two game-winning goals in 2006, was in the top ten in goals, goals per game,shots per game, points per game and points.
