Field Hockey Places Eight on NFHCA Academic
Squad
UNION, N.J. - The Kean University field hockey
team had eight players recently selected to the 2007 ZAG/National
Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III National Academic
Squad, as announced by the NFHCA.
Senior Allison Green (West Deptford, N.J.) was
named to the squad for the third straight year, while sophomores
Julie Bachovchin (Piscataway, N.J.) and
Laura Janousek (Yardville, N.J.) received the
honor for the second time in as many years.
Freshmen Ashlie Berghold (Boyertown, Pa.),
Lauren Dobbs (Palmyra, N.J.), Amie Hoch
(Egg Harbor Township, N.J.), Erica Kelly (West
Deptford, N.J.) and Joelle Vitale (Metuchen,
N.J.) all were named to the squad for the first time in
their careers.
The National Academic Squad program recognizes those collegiate
student-athletes who have achieved a minimum cumulative grade point
average of 3.30 through the first semester of the 2007-08 academic
year.
