Kean Falls to Montclair State in Field Hockey

MONTCLAIR, N.J. (11/1/10) – The Kean University field hockey team closed out the regular season, falling to Montclair State University, 6-0, in New Jersey Athletic Conference action on Monday evening.

In a game that originally began on Wednesday, September 22, but was called due to lightning, the Red Hawks (11-6, 3-2 NJAC) picked up right where they left off, taking the 3-0 lead from the game that was halted and scoring three more goals in the shutout win. 

Senior Lauren Dobbs made seven saves for the Cougars, while freshman Jessica Zebley had one as Montclair State held a 19-5 advantage in shots.

Kean (10-6, 3-3 NJAC) now awaits the selections for the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Mid-Atlantic tournament, as they closed out the regular season with its fourth straight 10-win season and won 10 games for the 10th time in the last 11 years
