Field Hockey Earns ECAC Bid
CAPE COD, Mass (11/8/10) – The Kean University field hockey team has been selected as the fifth seed in the upcoming Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Mid-Atlantic Field Hockey Championships, and will face fourth-seeded SUNY Oneonta in the opening round.
The Cougars (10-6) travel to the host Red Dragons on Wednesday, November 10, for the afternoon game beginning at 4 p.m.
The semifinals and championship will be played on Saturday-Sunday, November 13-14, on the campus of the highest remaining seed.
Kean, who won the 2008 ECAC Mid-Atlantic Region Championship, is making its third straight appearance in the ECAC tournament and has won at least 10 games for the 10th time in the last 11 seasons.
