Triano Tabbed NJAC Midfielder of the Year; Four Cougars Honored

Pitman, N.J. (11/3/11) – Senior Olivia Triano was tabbed as the New Jersey Athletic Conference Midfielder of the Year while three other Cougars were named All-Stars as announced by the conference office on Thursday.

Triano joins sophomore Stephanie Soares as first-team members while junior Kelly Bachovchin and sophomore Korri Thompson garnered honorable mention accolades.

Triano, who earns Midfielder of the Year honors for the second straight season, has also been a first-team all-star for three straight years.  Triano (pictured right) led the NJAC with 14 points and four assists in conference only games while being third in goals with five. 

Soares earns NJAC honors for the first time as she led the NJAC in conference only games with 14 points and six goals.  She finished in the top 10 with two assists.

Bachovchin was named to the honorable mention team after she led the NJAC with four defensive saves in addition to two goals and one assist in six NJAC games this season.

Thompson earns NJAC honors for the first time after collecting four goals against NJAC competition this season.
