Field Hockey Edged by Susquehanna, 2-1

Selinsgrove, Pa. (10/16/12) – Susquehanna University edged the Kean University field hockey team by the final of 2-1, Tuesday evening in non-conference action.

The Crusaders (5-10) scored the game-winner in the 44th minute to break a one-all tie.  Susquehanna took a 1-0 lead early in the first half on a penalty stroke goal from Allison Abey.  The Cougars (7-9) tied things up right of the gate in the second half as rookie Laura Cheatham scored off an assist from Marissa Robinson

Kean outshot the Crusaders, 9-5 and held a 7-5 advantage in penalty corner opportunities. 

The Cougars return home to face #13 Rowan University on Saturday afternoon.
