Field Hockey Falls to SUNY New Paltz, 3-0

UNION, N.J. (10/27/12) - Junior Alyssa Stock collected a goal and an assist to help pace SUNY-New Paltz to a 3-0 victory over the Kean University field hockey team Saturday night in non-conference action.

Stock opened the scoring at the 18:50 mark as she connected off a feed from freshman midfielder Jessica Caruana to give the Hawks (14-4) a 1-0 advantage. Just six minutes later, it was junior midfielder Lauren Link scoring to make it a 2-0 lead for the Hawks. With 9:05 remaining in the second half, senior forward Morgan Lizotte scored her 10th goal of the season off a pass from Stock to give the Hawks a 3-0 lead.

Junior goalkeeper Erin Langan made two saves for the Cougars (8-11), while junior Antonija Pjetri made six saves for the Hawks.

Prior to the game, the Kean Athletic Department and Field Hockey program honored seniors Kelly Bachovchin and Melissa McDermott.
