Krista LaMaina Has Record Setting Night n 5-0 Field Hockey Win

Union, N.J. (9/12/17) – Senior Krista LaMaina became the all-time program leader in goals scored as the Kean University field hockey team blanked Delaware Valley University by the final of 5-0 on Tuesday evening.

The Cougars (5-0) who entered the day ranked 20th in the latest Penn Monto/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III poll, jumped out to an early 4-0 advantage in the first half. 

Kean took advantage of the eight penalty corner opportunities with three goals converted in the contest.  The final, in the 67th minute, was the record breaker for Krista LaMaina.  She now stands with 69 career goals.  In addition, Krista LaMaina netted her 29th career assist, tying the all-time program in the same category.

Krista LaMaina finished with a hat-trick on the night while Jenna Patrone and Teresa Carr each had tallies in the win.

Kean returns to action on Friday when they host Marywood University.
