Men's Basketball Opens 2006-07 Season With Win

PURCHASE, N.Y. (11/17/06)--The Kean University Men's Basketball team started off this season on the right note as they defeated host Manhattanville College, 73-72, Friday evening.

Senior guard Anthony Virgil (Montclair, N.J.) led the Cougars with 15 points on 6-of-9 shooting, including 3-of-5 from long-range.

With the win, the Cougars give first year head coach Sean Drennan his first Kean victory and advance to take on Saint Vincent at 8:00 p.m. in the Castle Classic Championship.
