Williams Tabbed NJAC Rookie of the Week

Pitman, N.J. (2/4/08) - Freshman guard Keith Williams (Jersey City, N.J.) was selected as the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday.

Williams earns NJAC Rookie of the Week honors for the fourth time this season after averaging 16.0 points and 3.5 rebounds per game in pair of NJAC contests for the Cougars.

He opened the week by tallying 18 points, six rebounds, and three assists in a 71-63 NJAC loss to Rowan. He wrapped up the week by notching 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting from the floor in just 20 minutes of action during the Cougars' 71-69 NJAC road defeat at Ramapo.

Williams, who shot .500 (11-of-22) from the field in the two games combined, currently ranks tied for third in the NJAC in steals (2.21 per game).
