Men's Basketball Defeated by Wheaton (Mass.), 83-71

Phoenix, Ariz. (12/28/07) - The Kean University men's basketball team dropped their second game in two days, falling to Wheaton College (Mass.), 83-71, Friday afternoon in the Cactus Jam held at Phoenix College.

The Cougars (3-7) were led by freshman Akinwande Oshodi (Florence, N.J.) who had a team-high 19 points, shooting 8-of-13, while also adding a team-high six rebounds.  Freshman Derrick McCord (Jersey City, N.J.) (pictured right) had 13 points and teammate Keith Williams (Jersey City, N.J.) had 12 points to round-out the double-digit scorers.

Kean will play their final game of the tournament on Saturday, December 29th at 10 a.m. local time as they take on a familiar face in the Roadrunners of Ramapo College.
