Jonathan Jones (Linden, N.J.) earned NJAC and ECAC
Player of the Week honors after posting three
double-doubles in a 2-1 week for the Cougars.
Jones had 16 points and a game-high 14 rebounds, while adding three steals and two assists in the Cougars' key 61-54 win over NJAC South Division rival The College of New Jersey. He followed that up with his fifth straight double-double, posting career- and game-highs of 23 points and 16 rebounds in the 70-57 victory over Rutgers-Newark. In that game, Jones hit 9-of-12 from the foul line and added two steals.
Earlier in the week, Jones had 21 points and 12 rebounds in a non-conference loss to College of Staten Island (72-64).
Jones currently leads the NJAC in rebounding at 11.3 per game, while adding 13.1 points per game.
