GLASSBORO, N.J. (1/4/16) – Micah Kerr of the Kean University men's basketball team had 22 points off the bench to lead all scorers and Michael Summerer (pictured left) was right behind with 20 (plus 10 rebounds) as the Cougars fell to Rowan University 78-67 on Wednesday.
It marked Summerer's second double-double in three games; he also accomplished the feat against Division I Drexel university on December 18. He also led Kean with four assists on Wednesday night.
Kerr had 9-12 from the floor and Summerer was 9-14.
Rowan had four players in double figures, led by Jeff Haddock off the bench with 17. Gary Carthan had a double-double for the Profs with 10 points and 10 boards.
Rowan made 12 three's in the game and missed just one of 11 free throws. The game was won behind the arc, where Kean finished 1-18.
The Cougars will travel to Rutgers-Camden for more NJAC action on Saturday. Both clubs will be seeking their first win of the 2016-17 season.
