Men’s Hoops Plays in Manhattan on New Year’s Eve

NEW YORK, N.Y. (12/31/16) – The Kean University men's basketball team tangled with Baruch College in a Midtown Manhattan matchup on New Year's Eve in a 69-48 setback for the Cougars. Micah Kerr led Kean with 12 points on the afternoon.

Baruch improved to 9-2 on the year. Kean is now 0-11.

Michael Summerer (pictured left) was 3-for-5 from the floor, had a team-best seven rebounds and was perfect from behind the arc as well for Kean.

Doyin Isaac and Chimaechi Ekekeugbor combined for 33 points to pace the Bearcats. Baruch won the battle of the boards 47-31 and shot 86 percent from the free-throw line.

Keenan Williams Jr. had six points and Justin Watson added eight.

The Cougars will return to NJAC play on Wednesday with a trip to Rowan University at 8 p.m.
