UNION, N.J. (3/22/17) – The Kean University men's lacrosse team dropped a close matchup with Delaware Valley University by a 10-8 margin at home on Wednesday night. Chris Coyle had five goals for the Aggies, while eight different Cougars lit the lamp.
Ryan Sieb made nine saves in the game to keep the Cougars in it. Del Val outshot their host by a nearly two-to-one margin (39-23).
In contrast, his counterpart Gavin Yingling made just one save, but it was enough to earn the victory. Matt Tordone was also a big part of the Aggies' winning formula, as he had five ground balls and won 14-of-21 faceoffs.
Alec Ramos and Matt Brodley had multi-point games for Kean, with a goal and assist each. Ray Amsden picked up a team-high three groundballs in his first start of the season, and Tyler Randolph (pictured left) forced two turnovers.
The Cougars are now 2-4 while Del Val improved to 3-2.
Kean will embark on a Skyline Conference road trip starting Saturday at SUNY Maritime College at 3 p.m.
