Men’s Lacrosse Participates in Pancreatic Cancer Walk

PARAMUS, N.J. (10/11/17)- Head Coach Shelley Sheiner and the Kean University Men's Lacrosse team participated in the Lustgarten Foundation Pancreatic Cancer walk at Bergen Community College on Sunday, Sept. 17th.

The team walked as "Team JoJo" and raised $15,000 dollars for Pancreatic Cancer research.

Team JoJo helped support men's lacrosse alumnus Darren Calendrillo, whose mother Joanne (JoJo) had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2014.  Darren played attack for Coach Hawley Waterman from 1990 to 1993.

"It wasn't even a question that the KU lacrosse family would rally behind one of our alums and their mother", said Sheiner.

The Calendrillo family is a huge supporter of the Kean Men's Lacrosse program and never misses a game.
