Serafin Propels Cougars Over Ramapo, 1-0

MAHWAH, N.J. (9/30/06) - Kean University's Damien Serafin (Wallington, N.J.) scored 21 minutes into the contest and Cougars held Ramapo College in check in a 1-0 victory in New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) men's soccer action on Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Cougars improved to 5-2-3 and 2-1-2 in conference play, while the Roadrunners suffer their third loss of the year and fall to 8-3 and 2-3 in the NJAC.

Ramapo out shot Kean 11-7, while the Roadrunners held a 7-4 advantage in corners kicks. Cougar junio goalie Kyle Crego (Ocean City, N.J.) made five saves in the win.

The Cougars return to action on Wednesday, October 4 when they host Stevens Institute of Technology at 4 p.m on the East Campus.
