Men's Soccer Falls to Eastern, 2-1

ST. DAVIDS, PA (10/18/06) - Junior forward Anthony Tuesta (Clifton, N.J.) netted his team-leading 12th-goal of the year, however the Kean University men's soccer team could not overcome a 2-0 deficit, as the Cougars fell to host Eastern University, 2-1, in non-conference action on Wednesday afternoon. Eastern improved to 11-5-1 overall, while the Cougars dropped to 7-5-5 this season.

After a scoreless opening half, Eastern scored a pair of goals in a five minute span early in the second half to build the 2-0 lead.

Tuesta cut the deficit in half, when he ripped a shot into the upper right corner from just outside the 18.

Junior Kyle Crego (Ocean City, N.J.) stopped five shots in goal for the Cougars.

The Cougars return to action on Saturday, October 21, when they travel to Glassboro, N.J., to take on Rowan University in New Jersey Athletic Conference action starting at 7 p.m.
