#7 Stevens Nips Kean in OT, 1-0

Hoboken, N.J. (10/1/07) - Sophomore Chris Faustino (Union, N.J.) nailed the game-winner on a penalty kick in overtime to give Stevens Insitute of Technology a 1-0 win over Kean Monday evening.

The loss is the fourth straight for the Cougars who fall to 4-7 overall.  With the win the Ducks remain unbeaten in 2007 with a 9-0-2 record.

Stevens held the advantage in both shots (25-7) and corners (9-3).

Both teams battled to a 0-0 tie before former Cougar Faustino hit the game-winning shot off a penalty shot at 96:19.

Freshman Alfredo Oquendo (North Plainfield, N.J.) recorded eight saves in his first start of the season for Kean.

The Cougars will return to action with their second non-conference game of the week on Thursday, October 4th when they take on Albright College at 7:30 pm at Kean Alumni Stadium.
