Reading, Pa. (10/22/08) - Senior Mark Wallis (New
Gretna, N.J.) netted the game-winner in the
52nd minute as Kean University shutout host Albright
College, 1-0, Wednesday evening.
Wallis (pictured right) touched in the game-winner after passes by junior Pedro Zamora (New Brunswick, N.J) and freshman Emmanuel Opong (Ghana) that started on a corner kick.
Sophomore Alfredo Oquendo (North Plainfield, N.J.) had four saves in his fourth shutout for the Cougars.
Kean (6-10-1) outshot Albright, 13-7, while the Lions (4-9) held a slight 4-3 edge in corner opportunities.
The Cougars return home to face Richard Stockton College on Saturday, October 25th at 5 p.m.
