No. 14 Men’s Volleyball; Rosario Lead the Nation in Blocking
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (3/25/14) – In the most recent rankings released on Tuesday, the Kean University men's volleyball team currently leads the NCAA with 3.01 blocks per set and sophomore Tommy Rosario leads all players with 1.38 blocks per set. The Cougars are ranked 14th in the country in the latest national poll, which also came out Tuesday.
Kyle Farley is also near the top of the blocking ranks with 1.19 per set – good for No. 7 nationally.
Other Cougars in the Top-50 include setter Ron Dunn, who has the 13th-most assists per set with 9.71 and also cracked the block list at No. 33 with 0.91 per set.
Junior Bez Arslani is featured widely across the board at No. 21 in the country with 4.29 points per set, No. 30 with 3.39 kills per set, No. 37 with 0.41 aces per set and No. 36 with a .303 hitting percentage.
As a team, the Cougars are 12th in both hitting percentage (.254) and kills per set (11.94), No. 15 in winning percentage (.696) and No. 16 in assists per set with 10.92.
The 14th-ranked Cougars will take on No. 13 Baruch College Tuesday night at 7 p.m. in the penultimate home date of the regular season.
