(4/9/12) – Infielders Courtney Melchionna and Kelly Moorehead each had four hits to lead the Kean University softball team to a doubleheader sweep of New Jersey City University in New Jersey Athletic Conference action on Monday afternoon. A 12-hit attack paced the Cougars in the five-inning opener, 10-0, before the Cougars closed out the sweep with 14 hits in the 8-4 win in the nightcap.
