Staggers Places First As Cougars Compete at
Gulden Relays
LEWISBURG, Pa. (1/13/07) - The Kean University Men's and Women's
Indoor Track and Field team competed for the second time this
season at the Gulden Relays hosted by Bucknell University and held
on Saturday, January 13, 2007.
On the men's side sophomore Jason Staggers (Jackson, N.J.) placed
first in the men's triple jump with a leap of 13.22 meters.
Staggers also placed fourth in the men's long jump at 6.51 meters
and finished tenth in the men's 500 meter dash with a time of
1:12.18. Freshman Peterson Paquiot (Elizabeth, N.J.) also competed
in the men's long jump and placed tenth at 5.87 meters.
Junior Ryan Hebron (Middle Township, N.J.) placed eighth in the
men's shot put with a throw of 12.75 meters. On the track, the
men's 1600 sprint medley team, comprised of Steve Barbosa (Clark,
N.J.), Erick Orozco (Woodbridge, N.J.) Reginald James
(Willingsboro, N.J.) and Paquiot, placed fifth with a time of
3:53.55.
Highlighting the women's events, sophomore Sarah Zadoyko (Pompton
Lakes, N.J.) finished 12th in the women's shotput with a throw of
7.72 meters while teammate Christina Cohen (Emerson, N.J.) placed
right behind with a throw of 7.56 meters.
The team will compete again this Friday, January 19th at the
Collegeville Classic hosted by Ursinus College.
