Track Competes at Collegeville Classic
COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. (1/19/07) - The Kean University Men's and
Women's Indoor Track and Field team competed at the Collegeville
Classic hosted by Ursinus College and held on Friday, January 19,
2007.
On the men's side sophomore Jason Staggers (Jackson, N.J.) placed
sixth in the men's triple jump with a leap of 12.54 meters.
Staggers also placed sixth in the men's long jump at 6.14. Freshman
Peterson Paquiot (Elizabeth, N.J.) also competed in the men's long
jump and placed 16th at 5.48 meters. Junior Ryan Hebron (Middle
Township, N.J.) placed sixth in the men's shot put with a throw of
12.85 meters, while Jan Bergus (Lincoln Park, N.J.) placed 14th in
the same event with a throw of 10.52 meters. On the track, Reggie
James (Willingboro, N.J.) placed fifth in the men's 1000 meter run
with a time of 2:43.92.
Highlighting the women's events, Demeka Pressley (Trenton, N.J.)
placed 24th in the women's 200 meter dash with a time of 29.67.
Sophomore Sarah Zadoyko (Pompton Lakes, N.J.) finished 12th in the
women's shotput with a throw of 8.49 meters while teammate
Christina Cohen (Emerson, N.J.) placed 15th with a throw of 6.95
meters.
The team will compete again on Saturday, January 27th at the John
Covert Classic hosted by Lehigh University.
