Women's Basketball Moves Up In National
Polls

(12/5/07) - The Kean University women's basketball
team is moving up in the national rankings as the Cougars improved
to 5-0 this past week.
Kean remained steady in the 5th spot of the
D3Hoops.com poll. The Cougars were pre-season ranked
7th and in the first two weeks of the season have slowly
moved into the 5th spot.
In the USA Today/ESPN Division III Coaches' Poll, the Cougars
climbed from the 10th spot to their current rank of
7th.
Through five non-conference games this season, Kean has
outscored their opponents by an average of 33 points. The
Cougars have also scored an average of over 90 points per game.
Kean opens up conference play this Saturday, December
8th as they take on William Paterson University, who the
Cougars defeated at the buzzer on February 24, 2007 in the New
Jersey Athletic Conference Championship.
