Kean Earns NCAA Tournament Bid

UNION, N.J. (3/2/09) - The Kean University women's basketball team received an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Tournament, as announced by NCAA on Monday morning.

The Cougars will face Marymount University on Friday, March 6, at University of Rochester, with tip-off set for 6 p.m.  Marymount is 20-6 overall and received an at-large bid out of the Capital Athletic Conference. 

Rochester will host Widener University on Friday evening, with the winners of both games playing on Saturday, March 7, at 7 p.m.

The Cougars, who fell to The College of New Jersey in the New Jersey Athletic Conference championship game, have advanced to the Elite Eight in each of the last two seasons.
