Women's Basketball Sails Past Stockton, 72-53

Galloway, N.J. (1/25/12) – Senior Danielle McFadden recorded a double-double as she helped the #21/24 Kean University women's basketball team improve to 8-0 in conference play by defeating host Richard Stockton College, 72-53, Wednesday evening.

With the win the Cougars are 17-3 overall and 8-0 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference.  The loss drops Stockton to 12-7 and 4-4 in conference play.

The Ospreys sprinted out of the gate in the second half, scoring nine straight points to pull within four (36-32) but Kean responded with a run of their own as McFadden and Clemons scored four points each on back-to-back buckets to give the Cougars a double-digit cushion.  Kean then controlled the rest of the second half, leading by as many as 28.
