  • Kean Athletics Announces 2017 Benisch Athletic Hall of Fame Class

    UNION, N.J. (2/24/17) – Kean University director of athletics Jack McKiernan announced that the Benisch Athletic Hall of Fame will be receiving seven new members into its ranks as the Class of 2017. Melissa Beyruti (women’s basketball), Pascal Clergio (men’s soccer), Johanna Hedler (softball), Ebony Jackson (women’s basketball), Melissa Nunez (field hockey & women’s lacrosse), Perry Schatzow (baseball) and Jay Sgaramella (football) will be the honorees at the Hall of Fame’s April 20 induction ceremony.

    UNION, N.J. (2/22/17) – The Kean University women’s basketball team dropped its NJAC semifinal matchup with Rutgers-Newark 77-71 on Wednesday night. Kenya Adams posted a double-double with 12 points and 16 rebounds in the game for the Cougars.

(1/25/17) – The Kean University women’s basketball team trailed by as many as 11 points but outscored Rutgers-Newark 23-15 in the fourth quarter to earn the 77-71 NJAC road win on Wednesday evening. De’Mean Bond posted a double-double that included 23 rebounds and Kenya Adams scored 22 points while shooting 10-16 from the floor.

(1/4/16) – The Kean University women’s basketball team used double-double performances from rookie De'Mean Bond and junior Kenya Adams to rally over Rowan University 77-72 in NJAC action on Wednesday. Bond posted her second-straight double-double and fifth straight game with more than 10 rebounds to lead the Cougars in both categories.
