Bacon, Bond Earn All-NJAC Honors

Pitman, N.J. (2/22/17) – Sophomore Marajiah Bacon and freshman De'Mean Bond have been named to the recently announced NJAC All-Conference team.

Bacon earns first team accolades for the second straight year while Bond was selected as a second-team member.

She currently leads the NJAC and is seventh nationally in points per game with 22.5.  In just her sophomore season, she has already hit the 1,000 point plateau becoming the youngest (by grade) and fastest (games) to achieve the distinction in program history.

She can also be found in the NCAA statistical top marks with 191 field goals made (21st in DIII) and 109 free throws made (46th).

Bond earns the honor after leading the NJAC in rebounding (315-12.6 per game).  She is also in the top 15 nationally in the same category.  To date she has collected 13 double-doubles this season while averaging 10.4 points per game.  Bond was also selected as the NJAC Rookie of the Year, becoming the seventh Cougar to do so.
