Pitman, N.J. (2/22/17) – Freshman De'Mean Bond has been voted as the New Jersey Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Rookie of the Year as announced on Wednesday.
Bond earns the honor after leading the NJAC in rebounding (315-12.6 per game). She is also in the top 15 nationally in the same category. To date she has collected 13 double-doubles this season while averaging 10.4 points per game.
She becomes the seventh player in program history to garner the honor and the third consecutive.
Since transitioning into a starting role, she has four 20+ rebounding performance games while averaging 26 minutes per game.
