Buono Tabbed Skyline Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week

Lawrenceville, N.J. (4/23/07) - Senior Gio Buono (Plainsboro, N.J.) earned Skyline Conference Player of the Week honors as announced by the conference office on Monday, April 23^rd.

Kean University remained in contention for a Skyline Conference Tournament berth thanks to her strong play. In three games last week, Buono recorded 20 points on 18 goals and two assists. In a 14-12 overtime win over Gwynedd-Mercy, she recorded eight goals, matching a high for a Skyline player this spring. Buono added six goals against Farmingdale and four in a 13-12 win over Manhattanville. She currently leads the conference in scoring with 54 goals (4.50 per game).
