South Named Skyline Rookie of the Week

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. (3/24/08) - Freshman attack Amanda South (Fairless Hills, Pa.) earns Skyline Conference rookie of the week honors for the first time in her career after leading the Kean University women's lacrosse team to a 2-1 record last week.

During the span, South netted a team-high 10 goals and added four assists, five groundballs and five draw controls as Kean improved to 5-2 overall this season.

She opened the week with two goals and a team-high two assists in Kean's 23-6 win over Hood College. 

South followed that up with a career-high seven in goals in the 21-4 victory over Lasell.  She closed out the week with one goals, two assists, two groundballs and two draw controls in a 10-9 loss at Manhattanville.
