Devils Get Past Cougars, 20-6

Madison, N.J. (3/20/09) - Senior Stephanie Cirino (Warminster, Pa.) notched a team-high four goals but it wasn't enough as FDU College at Florham defeated Kean, 20-6, Friday afternoon.

With the win, the Devils improved to 3-2 while the loss drops the Cougars to 0-5.

FDU started the game by scoring the first seven goals. After Kean cut it to 8-2, the Devils closed the half with seven more goals to take a 15-2 lead into intermission.

The Devils scored the first four goals of the second half to take a 19-2 lead before Kean scored four late goals, with three from Cirino, to cut it to 19-6, however the Devils scored the final goal to win by a count of 20-6.

Freshman Heather Murphy (Brick, N.J.) recorded a goal while sophomore Amanda South (Fairless, Pa.) had a goal and an assist.
