UNION, N.J. (5/27/09) - Senior Stephanie Cirino (Warminster, Pa.) earns Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association regional honors for the second straight season and junior Chelsea Davis (Livingston, N.J.) has been named an Eastern College Athletic Conference Metro Region All-Star, voted on by the region's coaches.
A second-team IWLCA Boardwalk Region all-star for the second straight season, Cirino led the team in goals (50) and was second in points (57), despite missing the first four games of the season due to illness. A New Jersey Athletic Conference and Skyline Conference first-team all-star, she also closed out her career ranking in the top three in four different categories, as she finished first in shots (373), second in assists (38) and points (191) and third in goals (153) in 61 career games.
The team's top defender, Davis also garnered first-team Skyline Conference and honorable mention NJAC honors this season. She led both conferences with 2.12 caused turnovers per game, while her 3.69 draw controls per game ranked second in the Skyline Conference. Davis also added 11 goals and four assists, while leading the team with 58 groundballs.
