Women’s Lacrosse Bested by Farmingdale
FARMINGDALE, N.Y. (4/2/13) – The Kean University women's lacrosse team fell to Farmingdale State College 18-9 in Skyline Conference action on Tuesday afternoon. Senior Lyndsey Cannon scored five goals to lead the Cougars offensively.
The Rams started out hot and scored five-straight goals in the first seven minutes to force Kean to play catch-up. Maggie Brocklebank and Cannon scored to cut the lead to three, and the teams nearly traded goals the rest of the half so the score was 10-6 at the break.
Farmingdale got off on the right foot again and scored the first three goals of the second period to earn some breathing room and get through the final 20 minutes for the win.
Stephanie Tocko (pictured left) scored two of Kean's three second-half goals, while Nicole Marzocca and Carly Schneider led the way for the Rams with nine combined scores.
Kean will be back home on Thursday to host Rutgers-Camden in an NJAC conference matchup at 7 p.m.
