Tocko Night at Alumni Stadium

UNION, N.J. (4/4/13) – Senior Stephanie Tocko led the way with a double-hat trick as the Kean University women's lacrosse team cruised past Rutgers-Camden 18-4 on Thursday night. The Cougars scored the first seven goals of the game and went on to outscore the Scarlet Raptors 11-1 in the second half.

Eight different Cougars found the back of the net, namely Tocko (six goals) Ciara Mastrodomenico (4), Lyndsey Cannon (3) and Samantha Gnapp, Maggie Brocklebank, Marissa Santiago, Kat Halasz and Hannah Jones (one apiece). Cannon also handed out four assists for a total of seven points.

Any game recap would be remiss for not mentioning the play of Kean senior goaltender Jules Keeley (pictured left). The total shots in the game were fairly distributed (31-21), but the Ocean Township native made 13 saves and forced Camden into a 2-for-7 conversion rate on free-positions.

Kean will remain home on Saturday and host Mt. St. Mary College at 1 p.m.
